A success story

Chicken Wings is a successful and independent comic series that is made for aviators and aviation fans. Our popularity is growing fast: Chicken Wings first appeared in 2003 in Aeromarkt and is now being published regularly in five languages and in ten magazines around the world as well as various websites.

Formats

Chicken Wings is available for licensing and syndication directly through us. We offer the following formats:
  • One line comic strip (color or black and white)

  • Two line comic strip (color or black and white)

  • Single picture cartoon (color)

Procedure

All images are provided in high quality / high resolution JPEGs (300 dpi) and usually sent via Email. However, we are highly flexible in catering to any special request concerning format and delivery.

Further options

In addition to various formats, we also offer you the option to choose a certain type of content from within our comic stock. We can provide you with material that is less or more aviation specific, more centered around the management aspect of aviation or exclusively focused on either helicopters, airplanes or ATC, etc.

Custom work

We also create custom made comic strips, cartoons or miscellaneous artwork. So if you're looking for a unique cartoon to match a particular article or topic, or a one-of-a-kind gift for someone special, feel free to contact us.

Rates

Our standard rates are below industry average for licensed comic strips and illustrations. Please do not hesitate to contact us for a quote by emailing us or using our contact form. We give away some material for free for very small or non-profit publications, such as EAA chapter newsletters.

Here are some examples of how we handle our copyrights:

  • If you just want to share it with your friends by forwarding a strip or printing it and putting it on a bulletin board, or if you want to use an illustration or strip for educational purposes (e.g. a safety briefing power point), just go ahead!
  • If you're the editor of a newsletter for 50 people and take the strip right from our website, you're free to do that, but we appreciate it if you ask us first.
  • If you want to use our strip regularly in a company newsletter that goes to hundreds or thousands of people or is published externally, we will have to charge you a bit. Get in touch with us and we'll cut you a deal.
  • As soon as you run a publication for profit, or make profit by using our material, you have to pay us regular royalties. Please get in touch with us for a quote!
